On my way back from Yorkshire tonight, I drove through an area of north Derbyshire that had recently taken some snowfall. It was very wet and slushy snow, but it was snow all the same.
I’m hoping we get some decent snow this year, instead of the paltry inch or so we’ve had the past couple of years. It snows quite a lot every year in the Highlands (northern Scotland), the mountain areas of Wales and in the Peak District, which is just north of where I live, but would be nice to get some proper snow more than once this winter!
